How to use this key

This key is meant to make field and laboratory identification of hermatypic corals to genus level easy. Obviously, live is never simple, so you’ll need to pickup some vocabulary on the way.

We work from big to small in this key, starting with general growthforms like massive or branching, and then getting smaller and smaller. To start the ID of your coral, choose the most appropriate image, then click on the continue button under it, which will take  you to the next, smaller level.
